Councillor Angela Feeney welcomes the news from the National Transport Authority that the W6 bus route will be operational by the end of November.
“The W6 will connect Tallaght, Newcastle, Celbridge and Maynooth which will be great for students travelling to TU Dublin Tallaght Campus or Maynooth University but also going to Tallaght University Hospital. We need this connectivity between our growing towns”.
The service was delayed due to works to widen the Hazelhatch Bridge and the route has temporarily operated by Go Ahead Ireland as the W61 and W62 since summer 2023.
Cllr Feensy said she will continue to push for better public transport as it is much needed.
